Different Types of Discounts You Can Offer to Your Customers

What are the two most attractive words you can use in your advertisement to lure customers? Answer is Discount and Free, and although "Free" can pull much larger crowds as compared to "Discount", you can't really offer your products for free. Therefore, discount is a more practical, sensible and smart option to use. Different types of discounts and sales are very effective to curb the competition. It can also provide a good boost to your sales in the time of recession, when people are looking to save on every deal. However, offering discount on your products will obviously reduce the inflow of cash, therefore you need to chew over your discount strategy over and over, keeping in mind all costs and expenditures. In addition to this, there are some laws in developed countries that impose some restrictions on discounts; you need to confirm to these regulations as well.

Here are some of the discounts you can offer to your customers.

Offer

Quantity Based Discount:
You must have noticed a huge difference between wholesale and retail price. Whenever you buy something in large quantities you expect some discount from the seller. People are more than happy to offer low prices to a buyer who will purchase in large quantities because it allows the seller to save in many ways. But normally these quantities are too large for a normal consumer and only businesses can afford to purchase a product in these quantities, however you can offer some sort of off-price if the customer buy more than one units, for example 5% off if someone purchases 10 units or more.
Different Types of Discounts You Can Offer to Your Customers
Payment Based Discount:
If majority of your customers make purchase on credit then you can offer payment based discounts to these customers, tempting them to pay as soon as possible by offering a small discount on paying cash without delay. Prompt payments will save you all those collection costs and help you with daily expenditures of the business, as well.
Trade Discounts:
These are the discounts you have to offer to the middleman, be it the wholesaler, retailer or distributor, so that they can cover all costs of marketing that may be needed before the product reaches to the ultimate consumer. Trade discounts are in fact, the biggest of all.
Special Discount:
In some cases you can offer discounts to some specific group of customers to capture that special segment of the market. This niche group can be of students, house wives, doctors, your previous customers, small business owners or any other strategically targeted group.

Starting Baby on Rice Cereal

There seems to be a lot of debate about the best time to start solids foods. Older schools of thought start giving there babies rice cereal mixed in bottles of formula or breast milk as early as 4 weeks old, while newer schools of thought believe that babies should start solids by 4 months of age.

If babies are introduced to solid foods earlier than 4 months old, not only will the baby's digestive system may not be able to handle it, but there is also a danger of an allergy and even obesity as the child gets older. It is safe to introduce rice cereal at 4 months old. Your baby should be eating more solids by the time he or she is 6 months old because breast milk or formula is inadequate for their needs.

Offer

Baby's First Serving of Rice Cereal

Starting Baby on Rice Cereal

1. Your baby's first serving of rice cereal will probably only be about 1 tablespoon at first. Remember that eating food from a spoon is a new experience for your baby.

2. Make the cereal according to the packaged directions for 1 tablespoon of cereal. The consistency should be like yogurt and maybe a little thinner for some babies.

3. Offer more rice cereal each day until your baby is used to eating it from a spoon. Increase the cereal gradually over a few days to two tablespoons.

4. Once your baby has mastered eating from the spoon and is doing well, introduce other cereals such as oatmeal or barley, but be sure to introduce one at a time, waiting at least 4 days before introducing a new one. Studies have shown that babies need to try a new food up to 10 times before they learn to like it.

5. Once your baby has mastered cereals, then you can introduce fruit and vegetable purees! The fun has just begun.

You can mix cereal with breast milk, formula, or water. Breast milk or formula are adds a nutritional boost to the meal and is highly recommended.

An important note: Rice cereal mixed with breast milk turns "soupy" after standing for a while because the enzymes in the breast milk break down the cereal. It's still safe to use.

Top Ten House Alarm and Home Security Devices

A man's home is his castle, as the saying goes. But homes today don't normally feature ramparts, drawbridges, moats and six-foot thick stone walls to keep out unwanted visitors. Today, a house alarm, and preferably a managed home security system, is needed to ensure your home's security. Not only does installing a home security system improve the safety of your family and possessions, but it can also decrease your home insurance costs. The Top Ten House Alarm and Home Security Devices list highlights ten devices and features of home security systems that can make your house a safer place.

The Top Ten

Offer

10. Talking Devices help you to understand the status of your home and monitoring as well as program the system. Some security systems feature talking master control panels, key pads or remotes. The talking feature may not result in great conversation, but it will help you understand your system a little better.

Top Ten House Alarm and Home Security Devices

9. Some home alarm systems include extras like Key Fobs and Remotes to control the system at a distance. Somewhat similar to a car's key fob, home security key fobs include buttons to activate and deactivate the house alarm system. Some even include a "panic" button that activates the house alarm and alerts the proper authorities in the event of an emergency. Remote controls are similar and often larger. The features of remotes vary greatly and can include a full key pad, a talking feature and a panic button as well.

8. Yard Signs and House or Window Decals advertise your home's protection. The Greenwich Study of Residential Security found that homes without alarms were 2.7 to 3.5 times more likely to be burglarized, and that the most effective deterrent was the alarm monitoring company's yard sign (SIA Research Update, Security Industry Association, October 2001). Some choose to post the signs to deter possible break-ins without actually installing a home alarm system. While this effort will lower the odds of an attempted burglary, a yard sign alone cannot fully protect your home.

7. A Back-Up Power Supply is important in maintaining home security even during a power outage, when the risk of break-ins and looting is increased. Your home alarm should be effective even when your power is not. The easiest to maintain back-up power supplies use standard size batteries. Look for a model that uses rechargeable batteries to lower your maintenance costs.

6. Smoke Detectors add another layer of protection to your home, especially when they are integrated into the home alarm system. Not only do smoke detectors indicate a fire and give you time to escape safely, but when included in a home security package, they automatically notify the managing company and the fire department. Some systems even integrate the power supply to the smoke detectors. That means you don't have to change the batteries ever!

5. Wireless Systems protect your home without adding extra cords to trip over or extensive installation of in-wall cords. In wireless house alarm systems, each sensor or keypad communicates with the master control panel via radio frequencies or existing wiring in your home. A burglar will never be able to disarm the system by snipping the wires. This ensures the system is fully integrated and monitoring all parts of your home without using up your outlets or creating an obstacle course of wires for you.

4. Extra Key Pads are also important. Exterior mounted key pads can provide secure keyless entry to your family. Some systems also offer remote control key pads which are lightweight and portable. A home alarm system that features a security code with a key pad increases the security of your home. A monitored system can also lock down entry after several repeated, failed attempts at entry which indicate a possible break-in attempt.

3. Key pads may not always be enough to keep burglars out. Sensors on Windows and Doors reduce the risk of a burglar entering undetected and are a key part of a home alarm system. Motion Detectors within the home also increase the level of security. The most sophisticated motion detectors include a feature to ignore pets' movement to avoid constantly setting the alarm off inadvertently.

2. Installation, Monitoring, and Repair Services increase not only the level of safety but the convenience of keeping your home safe. A house alarm alone cannot notify the police or fire department in the event of an emergency. The most complete systems include buttons to notify police departments, fire departments and medical help instantly. Another advantage offered by the best monitoring companies is live customer support and full service installation and repair of the system by employees who have been background checked, licensed and drug tested to ensure your safety. Finally, some companies even offer relocation services to keep you secure even when you move.

1. The classic Master Control Panel is vital to any home alarm system. The central hub of the system, the control panel is usually wall-mounted in an easily accessible place. The panel receives information from all other sensors and key pads, computes it, and transmits relevant information to the monitoring company. If you choose to arm the system from the panel when you leave the house, the master control panel also receives the disarm code when you return home. Some can even be disarmed by telephone!

Of course, this list is not comprehensive, and the needs of every home and homeowner are different. For more tips on choosing the right home alarm system and features to protect your house, I recommend visiting alarmoneinc.com.

Gold Parties - Do They Offer the Most Money For Your Gold?

If you are going to avoid the gold party scam, there are a few things that you need to know about how they work. Gold parties offer a way for you to sell your jewelry for a little extra money, but do they offer the best way to sell your unwanted gold or jewelry so you get the most money possible? In these difficult economic times, maximizing your profits and putting some extra money in your pocket is a priority, right?

How do gold parties work?

Offer

Basically a friend or relative hosts a gold party at their home and invites friends and family over for a dinner party and maybe cocktails. But at this party there is also a representative from a gold party company that will offer you money for your unwanted gold or jewelry. This person will evaluate your gold for its quality, test and weigh your jewelry, and make you an offer, usually in the form of a check. There are no obligations and you can turn down or accept their offer and walk away with extra money in your pocket. Sounds simple doesn't it? Now let's dig a little bit deeper into the process.

Gold Parties - Do They Offer the Most Money For Your Gold?

So where is the gold party scam?

So who is making the most money off of your gold? In the average gold party, everybody seems to be taking a cut out of your profits. In a typical party the representative will pay out about 00 to the guests. That's for an average of about 10 people attending the party. The host takes a percentage of the total payout, usually about ten percent. That's pretty lucrative for the host, huh? The more people they invite, the more money they make. Yep, it's as simple as that.

When the party is over, the representative sends the jewelry to the gold party company. This company then sends the gold to a refinery to have is smelted. After this process, the refinery pays the gold company for the melt value of the gold. The gold party company then sends a check to the gold representative, because he or she has paid the guests out of pocket. Everybody in the process is taking a cut of the profits all along the way. This is how you get caught in the gold party scam. Your profits are not maximized because everybody's pockets are getting lined with money that should be yours.

So how can you get the most money for your gold?

If you are going to get the most cash for your gold and maximize your profits, you should consider an online gold buyer. Online gold buyers offer high payouts for your unwanted or broken gold jewelry because they cut out all of the "middle men" in the process. You ship your gold items to them free of charge in their provided mailing packet. If you are not happy with their offer, they will return your gold items at no cost to you.

Gold Parties - Do They Offer the Most Money For Your Gold?

Now here is a little secret that the gold party planners don't want you to know. Many of these online gold buyers are also refineries. This means you can cut out the "middle men" and maximize your profits. Cash for Gold Review offers insight and takes a closer look at one of the top online gold buyers. Sample Offer In Compromise Forms

Many taxpayers apply for offer in compromise in the hope of reducing a significant portion of their tax debts. Under this program, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) may agree to settle for an amount less than your tax dues. However, the chances of acceptance of an offer in compromise are very less. More than half of the applications are rejected by the IRS. A major reason for this rejection is improper filling of forms and income details. It is therefore highly recommended that a taxpayer fill in a sample offer in compromise form before trying an actual form.

Sample offer in compromise forms are available from a variety of sources such as tax professionals, publications, and websites. The basic form required for applying for an offer in compromise is form 656. This form calls for taxpayer's personal details, income sources, assets, and investments. The filling of the form requires careful consideration. Any wrong or exaggerated information may lead to the cancellation of the application. Form 433-A is also to be filled in equally carefully. This particular form, called Collection Information Statement, contains entries related to the taxpayer's bank accounts, investments, and even details regarding the spouse. Remember that the IRS inspects the disclosures made in form 433-A very closely.

Offer

Taxpayers usually consult tax professionals such as tax lawyers, certified public accountants (CPA), or enrolled agent (EA) before applying for an offer in compromise. These professionals provide sample offer in compromise forms and help in filling them and declaring your assets and investments. They also carry out negotiations with the IRS during the application process. Many tax professionals lack the expertise required for this complicated job. The estimates and details proposed by a tax professional should therefore be crossed-checked or sent for second opinion.

What Does IT Support Offer Your Business?

IT support is an essential consideration for any organisation to make the most out of their computer services. A number of things should be had in any type of system, but the key thing is for a firm to ensure they are able to maximise the efficient use of their intellectual infrastructure. Companies, that offer this type of service for their clients, work on the training and problems that may be associated with the computers and networks that an organisation uses in their daily operations.

*How Is Support Obtained

Offer

-Live operators can help resolve technical issues over the phone

What Does IT Support Offer Your Business?

-Internet chat rooms are another way that a firm can get the help and training they need

-Software can be used to optimise efficiency

Support firms are able to offer their clients what is known as time and material support. This involves the services of a technical company, and a firm can either buy the material, or have it provided by their technicians. The new equipment, such as computers or peripherals, will then be installed and optimised by the technical services department.

Hourly Support

There is also the option of purchasing hourly support in blocks of time. This will be offered at a discount rate. Businesses often rely on this method to make sure there is always a provider who will be able to assist them with their problems. They are also able to save money, because they buy lots of hours all at the same time. The only down side to this type of system, is that not all of the time may be needed.

Service Management

Cloud computing and other services are becoming more popular, and in this situation, a company outsources their technical needs to a third party. They will then be responsible for ensuring all of the computers and associated peripherals are operating at their maximum efficiency, and that there are no problems that delay the course of business. When something does arise, IT support will be on call, and they will make the necessary adjustments to the system.

Computer Repair

PC repair is another option and is also considered a means of support. There are a number of things that can go wrong with PC's, and these may disrupt the daily operational goals of a firm. Online repairs can often be made by firms, and they have technicians that can work remotely on the computers of their clients. They may also need to visit the physical location if this is required. However, most of the times remote support is effective over the internet or the particular type of network or cloud services that a firm is using.

The internet is growing dramatically, and it can be hard for an organisation to keep up with the daily changes. Bespoke support ensures there are no issues that will interfere with a company's intellectual infrastructure such as their computers and networks. Cloud computing is also becoming more popular, and services are designed to make sure the end user only needs to be able to use their computers to reach their goals.
